Barry M Natural Glow Palette // Review

Hi everyone! I thought I'd do a review on one of my long-loved palettes by Barry M.

The Planet Where Everything Goes Wrong

*Hi everyone. I was tidying up my cupboards the other day and you know when you find something you haven't seen in ages and you sit there for 6 hours nostalgically thinking? Well that happened. I was looking through one of my year 4/5 English books and I found a story I wrote. Ok guys, bare in mind I was 10 when I wrote this, it has a lot of mistakes. I'm going to type it how I actually wrote it so I'm sorry if you can't read any of it!*

A Busy Day

Hi guys. I've had a productive day today and I thought I'd write about it.

I had my hair dyed in the morning. It was just a semi permanent dye so it was not too harsh, don't worry! I just got it dyed close to my natural colour because I got highlights that I didn't like and I'm now in the habit of getting it dyed brown.

After I had my hair dyed, Mum, her friends and I went to a cafe. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of the food  but I got a BLT and a Banoffee pie, delicious!

We then sat for a while and then decided to go shopping for a bit, before going to the cinema. Here's a few of things that were bought:

I am no psychologist, but I have found that these 10 tips works sufficiently for me.

  1. Tell yourself "I will not fall asleep." I read somewhere that our brain doesn't work well with negatives, so by telling your brain 'you will NOT sleep' tricks the mind and makes you more sleepy. I don't know how it works, but it does!
  2. Turn off ALL electronics. I know how hard it is to not touch your phone and scroll through your instagram, but it's bad for you. When I went to the dentists about my sensitive teeth, he told me that if you focus on any electronics before you go to bed, it some how sets off stress levels (I think.) This can cause teeth grinding (which isn't fun, trust me.) So turn your phone, tv, tablet (whatever you have) an hour before you go to bed.
  3. Meditate. Not only is it relaxing, but it also clears your mind of all negativity. There's a lot of FREE relaxing music playlists on spotify, so pop it on and just relax!
  4. Make sure your room is cool. Now my room heats up too fast, so I tend to not turn the radiator on, but it also gets VERY cold. So if your room does get quite stuffy in the night, invest in a fan (though they are cool.) Also I think it has been proven that you can sleep better in a cool room.
  5. Read a book. It tires you out, well, it tires mee out. The only issue with this one is that if the book is AMAZING, you kind of don't want to put it down.
  6. Have a drink. Tea, milk, anything you like. Hot drinks make you sleepy!
  7. Make sure your bed is comfortable. Prepare your bed with blankets and pillows, anything that keeps you comfortable.
  8. Exercise throughout the day. Wear yourself out. The more active you are the faster you will sleep, because you simply will not have the energy to stay awake any longer!
  9. No snacks before you go to bed. Okay. Toast is okay. What I mean is sugary sweets or chocolate. The only good sugar gives you is energy, so it could make you sleepwalk!
  10. Don't sleep in. I REALLY need to take my own advice because the amount of times I've missed the bus because of sleeping in is ridiculous (sorry Macy!) Have a set time to wake up and stick by it. I usually set my phone for 6:45am (stupid school) but I think I need to infuse in one of those alarms that roll off your side table so you're forced to get up to turn it off! Also make sure you stick to that time on weekends, or if you want to change it, change it in 15 minute intervals. That was your brain won't be slacking!
I hope these tips helped anyone, I'm happy I discovered them! Thanks for reading. <3

The Big Dignity Drop

This is the story of when my dignity plummeted to the Earth's core. Or in other words, the time there was hot guys outside of Sainsburys, but The Big Dignity Drop sounded better!

So, I mentioned I go to dance of Fridays on My new Schedule (Little self promo there), ergo my story begins on a Friday. As mine and my friend's usual routine goes, we walk to Sainsbury's to get drinks and sweets before dance, this day was no different. We walked in to the shop and were welcomed by the warm central heating. We made our way to the refrigerator. My friend got an energy drink; I got a Sprite. We navigated to the sweet aisle (we know our way round very well) and picked up some crisps and sweets (I can't remember which ones but it's invalid.)

My friend and I made our way to the check out. Once we were done I think I said "I swear, if we see anyone we know..." At that EXACT second, as we approached automatic door. BOOM. A hot year 11 walked round the corner, followed by 4-5 member posse of fit Year 11's (one of which I have a slightly huge crush on but aw well.) I got the laughing fits, as I do when I'm humiliated/ see a hot guy. My friend walked faster, which I wasn't expecting, leaving me behind this group of lads. Resulting in me having to speed walk, and finally do a light jog.

Once out of site, we legged it to dance and flopped to the ground. I peered out of the window on the door and to my delight, they had gone. My friend turned to me saying "You dropped something out there," I checked in my pocket, I had my phone. She continued "... your dignity." Let's just say, we were rolling with laughter till it hurt!! It was funny, but a huge kick in the dignity. I don't even know why, I think it was the jog I did in front of them that did it, I mean, running itself is awful, so in front of people you see near enough everyday at school.. big no no.

To wrap it up, never jog in front of hot guys, it results in losing your dignity before your virginity, and that ain't a good thing!

Nature Walk

I've been on a Local Nature trail twice; once with Macy (aliceinneveland) and once with my friend Emma. Both times we decided to take out cameras. So here are the photos I got. Enjoy. <3
